Kansas Jayhawks Basketball – Allen Fieldhouse

// February 24th, 2010 // View Comments // Fun, Photography, Posterous

I had the pleasure of attending a Kansas Jayhawks mens basketball game
this past weekend.  The arena is a fantastic venue full of energy
throughout the game.  This was the 58th consecutive win at home for
the Jayhawks.

Mountain Goats – Monday Fun

Mountain Goats, originally uploaded by actually richard.

No, this isn’t my photo. But after getting stuck in the airport half of the weekend, I needed a good laugh, and I have goats to thank for this one. What an amazing creature. Seriously, can you sit and look/think about this photo and not laugh?

Auditorium

// February 17th, 2009 // View Comments // Fun, Guest Blog, Music

Auditorium is a unique Flash based game that is both visually and aurally stimulating.  The purpose of Auditorium is to guide the flow of colored audio particles  into the appropriate audio containers that are sporadically placed in a vast, empty environment.  Upon filling these containers, the colored audio particles transform into sound.  Each container corresponds with a different instrument, and with enough light, the containers will play in a symphony.  Through the use of directional arrows, attracts, repels, deflects, and rabbits, the audio particles can be routed around or through obstacles that include color spheres, divides, portals, and black holes.

Confused?  The game is surprisingly easy to learn.

Officially in full release, Auditorium is available for $10.99.  For this, one will receive 70 levels that are spread across 15 different acts.  However, the trial version available on the website was quite extensive while the game was still in beta.

If you find yourself needing help to complete a certain level, youTube has an extensive collection of videos to help you here.  And if you do not have the appropriate version of Flash, the latest is available here.

Tower Defense

There’s a new tower defense style game that came out recently called Random Desktop Tower Defense. If you have ever played a tower defense game you are well aware of the addicting nature.of these games, but if you haven’t played one yet be prepared to waste a few hours attempting to block the “Creeps” from getting through.

The simple idea of this online game exploded early last year with Desktop Tower Defense and quickly had millions of games logged. This iteration adds a few fun upgrades and some new tricks to learn. Go check it out here.
